The Green Mark Process
To start the ball rolling you supply some basic information on the building and we provide an instant quotation.
No personal information is required and nobody will contact you unless you request otherwise. The quotation is fixed - there are no hidden extras. Unlike some organisations who use a panel of surveyors who may be unknown, only Greenmark employed surveyors will carry out your EPC.
You can accept the quote online. We will need some contact details and will ask you to review you quotation and our terms and conditions. Our surveyor will then contact you to arrange the inspection.
We will confirm the inspection arrangements by email and may also request some more information about the building.
During the inspection the surveyor will look at and record information about the building fabric, the heating, lighting, ventilation and hot water systems. If there is any information you have on the building, such as architects plans, servicing / O & M manuals these will help in producing a more accurate EPC rather than using "worst case" assumptions.
Back at the office, all the information is checked and entered into SBEM, the approved software for modelling the energy performance.
Within five days of the inspection we will email the EPC to you and lodge the information with the national database. The EPC is valid for ten years, but if in the meantime you carry out improvement works to the building fabric or services you may want to commission a new EPC showing the improved performance.
